Box Score Decorah, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's basketball team fell 67-58 at Luther College (Iowa) Monday night in the Regents Center. The Eagles, receiving votes on this week's D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll, drops to 4-1 on the season while the Norse improves to 1-4.

Luther (Iowa) scored the first six points of the game before UWL went on a 7-0 run to take its first lead on a Ben Meinholz jumper with 14:23 left in the first half.  The Norse took a 15-12 lead with 9:37 remaining on a Spencer Sturges jumper, but the Eagles took a 24-17 lead with a 12-2 run after a Tanner Bruchs' three-point field goal.  Luther (Iowa) ended the half on a 10-2 run to take a 27-26 lead.

The Norse started the second half on another 10-2 run to lead 37-28 with 17:25 remaining after Jared Nicolaisen converted a three-point play.  Luther (Iowa) hit four of its first five shots from the field to start the second half.  UWL cut the lead to 37-33 with 15:55 left on Zach Schradle's jumper, but Luther (Iowa) scored the game's next five points to lead 42-33. The Eagles could get no closer than seven points the rest of the game, including 62-55 with 1:03 left after a Kenny Finco steal and layup. The Norse made five of their next six free throws.

UWL shot 38.5% from the field, including 28.6% (six-of-21) from three-point range, and 54.5% (12-of-22) at the free throw line.  Schradle led the Eagles with 17 points while Finco had nine points and Meinholz seven.

Luther (Iowa) shot 44.7% from the field, including 26.3% (five-of-19) from three-point range, and 71.4% (20-of-28) at the line.  Nicolaisen led the Norse with 19 points while Sturges finished with 15.
