Box Score Decorah, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team earned a 1-0 victory at Luther College (Iowa) Friday night.  The Eagles improve to 1-1 on the season while the Norse drop to 1-1. 

The match remained scoreless until 84:58 when Natalie Herzog scored with an assist from Alex Cording to give UWL a 1-0 lead.  The Eagles held on for the win as a pair of shots from the Norse' Ellie Bunz went wide in the final 3:24.

Kennedy Brault recorded the shutout for UWL, finishing with five saves.  The Eagles also had one team save. 

UWL finished with seven shots in the match, including three on goal.  Luther (Iowa) totaled 19 shots with six on goal.  Lauren Thormodsgard recorded two saves for the Norse. 

UWL returns to action Sunday, September 6 at Wartburg College (Iowa) at 1 p.m.
