UW-La Crosse 132, UW-Whitewater 111Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's swimming & diving team earned a 132-111 dual victory at UW-Whitewater Saturday afternoon. The Eagles are now 4-2 in duals this season, including 3-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
UW-L's
Justin Bublitz and
Erich Schnell each won a pair of individual titles Saturday. Bublitz swept the diving competition, taking the one-meter (298.00 points) and three-meter (272.40). Schnell captured the 50 (22.13) and 100 (48.49) freestyle.

Spencer Ritt won the 100 butterfly (53.41).
UW-L swept the relays Saturday as
Stephen Hanko,
Ben Weinhaus,
Hunter Burchfield and
Caleb Cole won the 200 medley relay (1:33.42) and
Ryan Jessen,
Kade McGilvray,
Nicholas Brehmer and Schnell won the 200 freestyle relay (1:27.43).
Other top individual finishers Saturday included
Bryan Frosch placing second in the 500 (5:00.48) and 1,000 (10:26.75) freestyles while Hanko was second in the 100 backstroke (54.19) and third in the 200 I.M. (2:02.58). Weinhaus finished fourth in 100 breaststroke (1:04.44) and Burchfield fourth in the 100 butterfly (54.94). Cole placed second in the 50 freestyle (22.73) and fourth in the 100 freestyle (49.12).
Jessen was second in the 200 freestyle (1:47.67) and McGilvray third in the 100 backstroke (54.48). Brehmer placed third in the 100 freestyle (49.04) and fourth in the 50 freestyle (22.77).
Charleton Skinner finished second (2:01.93) and
Erik Wickstrom fourth (2:05.78) in the 200 I.M. while
Daniel Streater was second in the 100 butterfly (53.73).
UW-L's
Tanner Folvag placed third in the three-meter (235.85 points) diving and fourth in the one-meter (216.50).
UW-L returns to action Thursday, February 19 at the WIAC Championships in Brown Deer, Wisconsin.
