Soccer Records Second Straight Double Overtime Tie

Rachel Rogahn had two shots on goal Saturday afternoon.
Box Score St. Peter, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team recorded a 0-0 double overtime tie at Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) Saturday afternoon.  The Eagles are now 1-0-2 on the season after their second consecutive 0-0 double overtime tie.  UW-L and Wartburg College (Iowa) finished 0-0 August 31. Gustavus Adolphus is now 0-2-1 on the season.

UW-L now leads the all-time series, 4-1-1, with Gustavus Adolphus.

Ashley Tracy recorded four saves for UW-L, her second consecutive shutout.  Caroline Olson also recorded four saves for Gustavus Adolphus.

UW-L totaled nine shots in the match, including four on goal.  Rachel Rogahn finished with two shots on goal while Nyssa Goeres and Nicole Lipari each had one.

Gustavus Adolphus had 13 shots, including four on goal.  Maddison Ackiss, Brittany Chase, Sophie Leininger and Molly Johnston with one each.

UW-L returns to action Wednesday, September 10 hosting Hamline University (Minn.) at 7:30 p.m.
