Box Score La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team earned 1-0 victory over Bethel University (Minn.) Saturday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.  The Eagles improve to 2-1-2 on the season while the Royals fall to 0-2-3. First-year UW-L head coach Jason Murphy earned his first career home win with Saturday's victory. 

Megan Gresl notched the only goal of the game at 37:57 assisted by Nicole Blaser.  It was Gresl's first goal of the season and Blaser's first assist.

Ashley Tracy earned the shutout victory for UW-L, recording four saves.  She improved to 1-1-2 on the season with three shutouts and a 0.71 goals against average. 

UW-L finished with nine shots in the match, including three on goal. 

Micale Jensen had two saves for Bethel.  The Royals totaled 13 shots in the match, including four on goal.  Savannah Swanson recorded two shots on goal while Jessica Huseby finished with five shots overall. 

UW-L returns to action Wednesday, September 17 hosting Luther College (Iowa) at 7 p.m.
