Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team placed second at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Team Tournament Saturday afternoon on Wangerin Courts.  The Eagles earned 5-2 a victory over UW-Eau Claire in the tournament semifinals before falling 8-1 to UW-Whitewater in the championship match.  UW-L finishes its season with a 15-6 record.

With the win in the championship match, UW-Whitewater earns the conference's automatic bid to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships.
