Box Score Kenosha, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team fell 2-1 at Carthage College (Wis.) Tuesday night in a non-conference match. The Eagles drop to 3-3-4 on the season while the Lady Reds are now 5-7. Carthage now leads the all-time series, 3-0, with UW-L.
Carthage scored both of its goals in the first half to take a 2-0 lead. Danielle Noverini scored unassisted at 6:35 and Jessica Socha added an unassisted goal at 10:54.
UW-L cut the margin to 2-1 at 38:48 as
Jenna Rosienski scored her first goal of the season with an assist from
Megan Gresl. It was Gresl's first assist of the year.
The Eagles finished with nine shots in the match, including six in the second half. UW-L totaled six shots on goal. The Lady Reds recorded 11 shots overall, including eight on goal.
Ashley Tracy recorded six saves for UW-L while Abby Alm finished with five for Carthage.
UW-L returns to action Saturday, October 11 hosting 18th-ranked UW-Whitewater at 5 p.m.
