Box Score La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer squad earned a 1-0 overtime victory over UW-Platteville Wednesday night at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The Eagles improve to 4-7-5 overall and 2-2-3 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Pioneers drop to 8-10 overall and 1-6 in the conference.
With the win, UW-L earns a berth in the WIAC Tournament under first-year head coach

Maddie Granos scored the match-winning goal at 98:18 off rebound after a
Kirsten Anderson shot. Anderson recorded the assist. It was the first goal of the season for Granos.
UW-L finished with 24 shots in the match, including 16 on goal.
Tina Bedwell had six shots with four on goal while Anderson and
Kelly Denk each had four shots with three on goal. Granos had two shots on goal.
UW-Platteville totaled seven shots with four on goal. Anna Sobal had two shots with both on goal.
Ashley Tracy recorded four saves for UW-L to record her sixth shutout of the season. Mandy Taylor had 12 saves for UW-Platteville while Katie Rash finished with three saves.
UW-L returns to action Saturday, November 1 hosting UW-Superior at 4 p.m. on Senior Day.
