UW-La Crosse 138, UW-Oshkosh 95
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team earned a 138-95 dual victory over UW-Oshkosh Saturday afternoon in Mitchell Hall.
The Eagles' swept both relays Saturday as
Erica O'Neill,
Lauren Bradley,
Rachel Medenwaldt and
Katelyn DeStarkey won the 200 medley relay (1:54.40) while
Sara Zemanovic,
Allie Yemm,
Grace Jarzemsky and
Mikayla Beuch captured the 400 freestyle relay (3:44.95).
Individually, UW-L's
Brooke Reynolds won the 50 freestyle (25.34) and 100 butterfly (59.23). Seven other swimmers won individual crowns Saturday. Beuch captured the 100 freestyle (54.85),
Eliza Lynch the 200 freestyle (2:03.99),
McKenzie Vermeire the 500 freestyle (5:25.67) and
Brooke Soller the 1,000 freestyle (11:23.81).
Yemm won the 100 breaststroke (1:08.90) while
Noelle Anderson took the 200 I.M. (2:18.17) and
Emma Holbrook captured the 100 backstroke (59.87). Yemm was also third in the 50 freestyle (25.44).
O'Neill was second in the 50 freestyle (25.37).
UW-L also swept the diving competition Saturday as
Tessa Kahring won the one-meter (235.60 points) and
Jordan Anderson the three-meter (246.80). Kahring was third (235.60) in the three-meter while Anderson placed second (223.10) in the one-meter.
UW-L returns to action Friday, January 17 at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational.
