Box Score Eau Claire, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team opened Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) play with a 1-1 double overtime tie at UW-Eau Claire Saturday afternoon. The Eagles are now 1-5-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the WIAC while Blugolds are 2-2-3 overall and 0-0-1 in the conference.

Caroline Henderson gave UW-Eau Claire a 1-0 lead at 44:37 assisted by Audra Zimmer.
The match remained 1-0 until UW-L's
Corbin Scholz tallied her first goal of the season at 68:07 to tie it at 1-1. The goal was unassisted.
The Blugolds had a pair of shots go wide left in the final minutes of regulation. In the first overtime session, Henderson hit the post for UW-Eau Claire. UW-L's
Ashley Tracy recorded two saves in the first overtime.
Neither team had a shot in the second overtime.

UW-L finished with seven shots in the match with all seven coming on goal. UW-Eau Claire recorded 20 shots, including nine on goal.

Tracy recorded seven saves for the Eagles while Nina Behrenbrinker had six for the Blugolds.

UW-L returns to action Wednesday, September 25 hosting UW-Stevens Point 6 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.
