Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.) 7, UW-La Crosse 2

La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team fell 7-2 to Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.) Sunday afternoon at Veterans Courts.  The Eagles drop to 6-2 on the season while the Wolves improve to 4-0. 

UW-L won two of the three doubles matches Sunday.  The Eagles' Olivia Hartwick/Abby Tresedder defeated Amanda Timm/Alexi Loomis at No. 1 doubles (8-4) while Kimmy Mrozek/Bryanne Blanton beat Katiuska Adarmes/Jitsupa Sirinit at No. 2 (8-5).  The Wolves' Emily Kaftan/Natalie Grieve earned the win over Rachael Wabers/Samantha Fleming at No. 3 doubles (8-2). 

Cardinal Stritch swept the six singles matches. Timm defeated Hartwick at No. 1 (6-0, 6-3); Loomis beat Tresedder at No. 2 (6-4, 3-6, 10-8) and Adarmes defeated Mrozek at No. 3 (3-6, 6-3, 10-5).

Grieve defeated Blanton at No. 4 singles (7-6, 6-3) while Kaftan beat Kendra Woyahn at No. 5 (6-0, 6-1) and Sirinit defeated Jennifer Graham at No. 6 (6-4, 6-0). 

UW-L returns to action Friday, October 12 at UW-Stout at 3 p.m.
