Box Score La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team fell 2-0 to UW-Oshkosh Saturday afternoon at Veterans Field. The Eagles drop to 3-9-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Titans improve to 10-5-1 overall and 6-1 in the WIAC.
Amanda Baalke gave UW-Oshkosh at 1-0 lead at 15:54 with an assist from Megan White. It was Baalke's fourth goal of the season.
The match remained 1-0 at halftime.
The Titans took a 2-0 advantage at 54:56 with White tallying her fourth goal of the year. Baalke recorded the assist.
UW-L finished with 18 shots in the match, including seven on goal.
Kara Bednarek had a team-high five shots while
Laura Sauer finished with a team-leading two shots on goal.
UW-Oshkosh, ranked ninth in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire North Region, finished with 17 shots in Saturday's match with seven on goal.
Ashley Tracy recorded five saves for UW-L while Katie Berkopec registered six for UW-Oshkosh. The Titans also had one team save.
UW-L returns to action Wednesday, October 23 hosting Saint Mary's University (Minn.) at 6 p.m.
