Hughes went 2-0 on the week with a 1.27 earned run average. She went 11.0 innings, allowing two earned runs. Hughes earned the victory in a 3-1 win over St. Catherine University (Minn.) on March 8, pitching 7.0 innings, allowing six hits, one run and three walks, while striking out three. She then picked up the win in a 14-1 victory over Loras College (Iowa) on March 10, going 4.0 innings, allowing three hits, one run and one walk with four strikeouts.
