Steinert advanced to the semifinals at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional in St. Peter, Minnesota, finishing with a 4-1 record. After a first round bye, she defeated Sydney Verbauwhede of Edgewood College, Wis. (6-0, 6-2) in her first match. Steinert then defeated Elise Ha of UW-Whitewater (6-0, 6-1) and Ali Hickey of Grinnell College, Iowa (6-1, 6-3) to advance to the quarterfinals.Â
Steinert defeated Sabrina Palavra of UW-Whitewater in the quarterfinals (6-4, 6-1) before losing to Ginger Valentine of Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) in the semifinals (6-3, 6-2).
