Schmitt hit .452 (14-of-31) in eight starts in the Russmatt Central Florida Invitational.  He recorded at least one hit in all eight games, including four multi-hit contests.  Schmitt scored 10 runs while recording 17 RBI, six doubles, one triple and one home run.  He had three games scoring at least two runs.  Schmitt went 2-for-4 with two runs, one home run, one walk and five RBI in UWL's 12-11 win over 10th-ranked University of Southern Maine March 10.  He went 4-for-5 with four runs, two doubles and one triple in the Eagles' 18-5 victory over Illinois Wesleyan University March 15, including recording the game-winning hit.  He also had the game-winning hit in UWL's 4-2 win over Webster University (Mo.) March 17. Schmitt recorded a .514 on-base and .806 slugging percentage in the eight games.
