Sweeney competed in seven meets in 2019, finishing fifth at the WIAC Championships to earn All-WIAC First Team honors. She also picked up NCAA Division III Midwest Region accolades with a 28th-place overall finish. Sweeney was 178th at the 2019 NCAA III Championships. She was also seventh at the Carleton College (Minn.) Invitational, 18th at the Tori Neubauer Invitational and 19th at the Luther College (Iowa) All-American Invitational. 

She was 37th at the 2018 WIAC Championships. Sweeney placed seventh at the UW-Platteville Gender Equity Invite and ninth at the Luther (Iowa) Dual in 2018.
