Maya DeGeorge starts her first season as an assistant lacrosse coach. She also works as an assistant facilities and events coordinator. DeGeorge comes to UWL after serving as an assistant women's lacrosse coach at Lake Forest College (Ill.) in 2025-26. The Foresters went 11-5 overall, including 9-0 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC). She was a member of the league's coaching staff of the year. DeGeorge assisted in practice planning, scouting reports and game strategy while leading individual skill development sessions and position specific training. She also assisted in recruiting for the Foresters and coordinated their team travel.
DeGeorge also served as an administrative assistant at Lake Forest (Ill.), supporting the day-to-day athletic department operations and event management while managing budgets and coordinating team travel and events.
She was a two-time NACC First Team selection at Beloit College (Wis.) while being selected as the league's 2025 Midfielder of the Year. A team captain for the Buccaneers, DeGeorge set single-season school records for goals (75), points (81) and ground balls (88) while finishing her career as the school's all-time leader in draw controls (177). She served as the team's social media manager.
A member of Beloit's (Wis.) soccer team in 2023, DeGeorge earned her bachelor's degree in business management from Beloit (Wis.) in 2025, graduating Summe Cum Laude while being a member of the Dean's List all eight semesters. She earned NACC Scholar-Athlete honors twice.
She played two seasons of lacrosse at Colorado College, earning Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Academic Honor Roll accolades both years.
A native of Grand Junction, Colorado, DeGeorge earned 4A First Team All-State honors at Grand Junction High School while being named the Western Slope Player of the Year. She served as the team's captain.
Other coaching experience includes as a volunteer assistant with Denver City Lacrosse and as a youth basketball camp counselor at Colorado Mesa University.
