WHY GET INVOLVED WITH THE UW-L ATHLETICS GOLF OUTING?

120 golfers anticipated, including many local business people, educators, politicians, and media personalities.

Exciting format changes in 2013, including:

New venue, the La Crosse Country Club;

Enhanced golfer experience, including lunch service, polo shirt, customized scorecards, and sleeve of golf balls; and

Extensive interaction with UW-L coaches, staff members, and student-athletes.

For only $100, sponsors will receive hole recognition and identification as a sponsor in the event program. Those sponsors wishing to field a foursome can do so for an additional $450.
UW-L ATHLETICS: PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

UW-L Athletics features nearly 600 student-athletes competing in 19 NCAA Division III sport programs.

UW-L Athletics is one of the most successful Division III intercollegiate athletic programs in the United States. The program’s 60 national championships are among the most of any school in the country and its 354 conference championships are the most of any school in the WIAC.

UW-L’s student-athletes consistently rank at the top of the WIAC in GPA and number of student-athletes achieving a GPA of 3.0 or above.

In 10 of the last 11 years, UW-L’s student-athletes have posted a combined GPA that has exceeded the GPA of UW-L’s overall student body.
ECONOMIC IMPACT

UW-L Athletics consistently hosts events that generate millions of dollars for the La Crosse community, including:

For the past 23 years, the Wisconsin High School Track & Field Championships, at approximately $3 million, the largest annual tourism-generating event in La Crosse;

In 2011 and 2012, the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships, each of which generated more than $500,000;
-
In 2013, the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, projected to generate more than $1 million; and
-
Annually, more than 125 home events that bring to town hundreds of visiting student-athletes, coaches, parents, and fans.
