Madison, Wis. - University of Wisconsin-La Crosse student-athletes earned the 2024-25 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) All-Academic Award, the league office announced Wednesday. The WIAC All-Academic Award is presented to those institutions with a grade point average of its student-athletes that is equal to, or greater than, the grade point average of the overall student body. UW-La Crosse student-athletes compiled a 3.375 cumulative grade point average with the overall student body finishing at 3.324.
It is the 23rd time in the last 24 years the UW-La Crosse student-athlete grade point average was higher than the combined grade point average of the overall student body.
All eight institutions, UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Platteville, UW-River Falls, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Stout and UW-Whitewater earned the 2024-25 WIAC All-Academic Award. It marked the fourth time (2020-21, 2022-24) in conference history every institution earned the distinction.
UW-La Crosse recorded 460 student-athletes with a cumulative grade point average of 3.000 or higher in 2024-25.
During the 2024-25 academic year, over 50 percent of the student-athletes competing in the conference achieved a 3.000 grade point average or better (on a 4.000 scale) and were named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
