La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team opened the 2022-23 season with an 8-1 win over Lawrence University (Wis.) Thursday afternoon at Green Island Tennis Park. UWL is now 1-0 while Lawrence (Wis.) falls to 0-1.
The win marks the 22nd consecutive year the Eagles have started the fall season with a dual victory under head coach
Bill Hehli. It's also the seventh consecutive season UWL has defeated Lawrence in the first dual match of the fall season.
