La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team opened its home schedule with a 9-0 victory over UW-Stout on Wednesday afternoon in the first match played at Green Island Tennis Park.  The Eagles improve to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Blue Devils drop to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in the conference. 

It is UWL's fourth straight 9-0 victory.   

UWL won all three doubles matches by the score of 8-1 as Kimberly Steinert/Kellie Hierl (No. 1), Hannah Riegle/Kaitlyn Kalinka (No. 2) and Lauren Witt/Morgan Graf (No. 3) earned victories. 

The Eagles dropped only eight games in sweeping the six singles matches. Steinert (No. 1), Hierl (No. 2), Riegle (No. 3), Witt (No. 4), Katie Kearney (No. 5) and Susi Hu (No. 6) picked up victories.
