La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team earned an 8-1 victory over UW-Stevens Point Friday afternoon at Green Island Tennis Park in the Eagles' home finale.  The Eagles improve to 8-3 overall an 4-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Pointers drop to 5-3 overall and 2-3 in the conference.

UWL won two of the three doubles matches Friday as Kimberly Steinert/Kellie Hierl earned the victory at No. 1 and Hannah Riegle/Kaitlyn Kalinka picked up the victory at No. 2. 

The Eagles swept the singles matches in straight sets.  Steinert (No. 1), Hierl (No. 2), Riegle (No. 3), Lauren Witt (No. 4), Morgan Graf (No. 5) and Katie Kearney (No. 6) earned victories.
