Superior, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 9-0 victory at UW-Superior Sunday afternoon in the Lydia Thering Fieldhouse.  The Yellowjackets drop to 2-4. 

UWL swept the doubles matches, dropping one game in the three matches. Kimberly Steinert/Kellie Hierl defeated Maya Callaway/Emily Wald at No. 1 doubles (8-0) while Hannah Riegle/Kaitlyn Kalinka defeated Chiyono Owa/Olivia Roberts at No. 2 (8-1) and Morgan Graf/Lauren Witt defeated Kallie Olson/Grace Nelson at No. 3 (8-0). 

In singles competition, the Eagles swept all six matches, losing a total of three games. Steinert defated Callaway at No. 1 (6-0, 6-0), Hierl beat Wald at No. 2 (6-0, 6-1) and Riegle defeated Owa at No. 3 (6-1, 6-0). Witt defeated Olson at No. 4 singles (6-0, 6-0), Graf beat Roberts at No. 5 (6-0, 6-0) and Susi Hu defeated Nelson at No. 6 (6-0, 6-1).
