Stenger went 5-1 in the NWCA Multi-Divisional National Duals January 4-5 in Louisville, Kentucky as UWL placed seventh overall. In first day action, he opened with a technical fall (19-1) win over Ben Gruenstein of Augustana College (Ill.) before winning by decision (5-3) over Dylan Nuttall of York College of Pennsylvania. Stenger then lost by decision (6-2) to second-ranked Sam Bennyhoff of Augsburg University (Minn.).

In Saturday's action, Stenger went 3-0 with two wins by major decision. He won by major decision (9-1) over Ren Dazey of Millikin University (Ill.) and by major decision (13-4) over Dante Ginnetti of Baldwin-Wallace University (Ohio) before a win by decision (9-6) over fourth-ranked Brock Henderson of Coe College (Iowa). Stenger is now 11-4 on the season.
