Hansen won the 149-pound title at the Rochester Community & Technical College (Minn.) Yellowjacket Open November 3. He went 4-0 in the opening tournament of the season. Hansen won by fall (:19) over Tanner Prochaska of Upper Iowa University in the opening round before winning by fall (1:50) over Tyler Wagener of Augustana College (S.D.) in the quarterfinals. He won by fall (6:39) over Anthony Fisher of Iowa Lakes Community College in the semifinals and won the crown with a win by decision (9-6) over Mason Phillips of St. Cloud State University (Minn.).
