Schultz captured the individual title at the WIAC Championships on October 27, completing the 8,000-meter course in 24:44.7. He became the first runner in school history to win the individual crown since Zach Wilhelmy in 2009. Schultz helped lead UWL to its second straight conference title and 34th in school history.
