Flathers recorded six tackles, 3.0 quarterback sacks, 3.0 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles in UWL's 29-23 overtime win at UW-Stout October 6. His first sack of the game came in the second quarter, forcing a UW-Stout punt. UWL then went 40-yards on the ensuing drive to score the go-ahead touchdown for a 14-9 lead. He forced a fumble on a quarterback sack at UWL's 47-yard line in the third quarter with the Eagles recovering the ball. Flathers' second forced fumble on his third sack of the game was recovered by UWL's Rusty Murphy in overtime, who returned it 67-yards for the game-winning touchdown.
