Nelson led the Eagles to a 2-0 week, including a win over seventh-ranked UW-Whitewater on January 14 and over UW-Eau Claire on January 17. In UWL's 77-54 win over UW-Whitewater, Nelson scored a game-high 17 points, including going 10-of-12 from the free throw line. She also grabbed four rebounds and recorded an assist and steal. The win was the Eagles' sixth victory in program history over a top 10 ranked opponent. Versus UW-Eau Claire, Nelson scored 12 points while grabbing six rebounds and three assists in UWL's 77-55 win. UW-Eau Claire was receiving votes on the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll. For the week, Nelson averaged 14.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
