Grieger was named the MVP of the TowneBank Tipoff Tournament at Virginia Wesleyan University after averaging 31.5 points, 3.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds in two games. He scored a career-high 36 points, including the game-winning tip-in, in UWL's 77-75 overtime win over No. 17-ranked Hampden-Sydney College (Va.) on November 7, going 14-of-26 from the field, including two-of-five from three-point range, and six-of-nine at the free throw line. Grieger scored 26 points in the second half and overtime. He finished with 27 points and four assists in the 74-71 championship game victory over No. 14-ranked Virginia Wesleyan on November 8. Grieger scored 19 points in the second half. He shot 54.8% (23-of-42) from the field for the week.Â
