Haas went 24-of-32 for 272 yards and three touchdowns in UWL's 38-14 win at 17th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University (Pa.) on September 13. He also rushed for 40 yards on eight carries. Haas opened the scoring with a six-yard touchdown pass to Gabe Lynch in the first quarter. His 37-yard touchdown pass to Jack Janke gave UWL a 31-7 lead and Haas finished the game with a six-yard touchdown pass to Keaton Arendt. He completed his first eight passes of the game.
