Spieker caught two passes for 71 yards with both receptions resulting in touchdowns in UWL's 52-21 victory at Luther College (Iowa) September 1. He caught a 62-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter and nine-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter. Spieker later scored his third touchdown of the game on a blocked punt, returning it 43-yards in the second quarter.
