Hinz moved from 50^th at 3,000-meters to finish 36^th at the University of Notre Dame Joe Piane Invitational Gold Race on October 4. Her time of 18:03.4 in the 5,000-meter race was a personal-best in cross country and converts to her fastest career 6,000-meter time. Hinz was UWL's top finisher in the race as the Eagles placed ninth overall. It marked her first time as UWL's top-finisher. A total of 182 runners completed the race.
