Gwaltney, competing in his first collegiate meet, led UWL with an eighth-place finish at the Concordia University Wisconsin Ken Weidt Classic on September 14. He completed the 8,000-meter course in 26:46.3 in helping lead UWL to a second-place team finish. A total of 142 runners completed the race.
