Sawadski had both game-winning goals in a pair of victories to open the season. She finished with two goals and one assist in a 5-0 victory over UW-Superior on August 30, recording seven shots with five on goal. Sawadski then had one goal and one assist in a 7-1 win at The College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) on September 1, finishing with two shots, both coming on goal. She had three goals, two assists and nine shots with seven on goal in the two games.
