Matl went 1-0 with a 1.80 earned run average and one save in two appearances. He pitched 10.0 innings, allowing seven hits, two earned runs and two walks with 15 strikeouts. Matl held opponents to a .200 batting average. He earned the save in UWL's 6-3 win over Finlandia University (Mich.) March 28, going 3.0 innings with eight strikeouts while not allowing a hit, run or walk. Matl earned the victory in the Eagles' 11-9 win over UW-Platteville April 3. Pitching in relief, he went 7.0 innings, allowing two earned runs with seven strikeouts.
