Gregg placed third overall with a time of 24:26.3 at the University of Louisville Live in Lou Pre-National Classic October 2. He went to the front of the race and stayed there before the front two men pulled away. Gregg was just :15 behind the winning time in helping lead UWL to a fourth-place team finish. A total of 42 teams and 341 runners completed the race. Gregg's time was a personal best by 1:07 set in 2019.  His time was also 1:30 better than his performance in the St. Olaf College (Minn.) Invitational two weeks earlier.
