Sam Wenzel finished 19-17 at 149-pounds in 2019-20, earning three wins by fall. He placed fourth at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Upper Midwest Regional and third at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships.  Wenzel was named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III Scholar Team. 

He went 6-3 with three wins by fall in 2018-19, finishing third at the WIAC Championships.
