University of Wisconsin La Crosse Athletics

Freshman Maddie Hannan was named UWL's Female Newcomer of the Year. She competed in seven races in 2019, including finishing 149th at the NCAA Division III Championships.  She earned NCAA Division III All-Midwest Regional honors with a 25th-place finish.  Hannan was UWL's top finisher at the WIAC Championships, placing third overall, and being named to the All-WIAC First Team.  She was also selected the WIAC Newcomer of the Year at the conclusion of the season.  Hannan finished 10th at the 2019 Tori Neubauer Invite, 12th at the Carleton College (Minn.) Invite, 34th at the University of Louisville Classic Blue Race and 44th at the Luther College (Iowa All-American Invite.
