Hover won the 100 butterfly (48.51) and placed eighth in the 200 backstroke (2:02.54) at the Rochester (Minn.) Invitational December 6-8. He helped lead UWL to a third-place finish out of 10 teams.  Hover had a time of 1:54.84 in the 200 backstroke preliminaries.  He also competed in the 100 backstroke preliminaries, recording the top-time of 49.76.  

Hover was also on four relays placing in the top-two.  He was a member of UWL's winning 200 medley relay (1:31.69) and 200 freestyle relay (1:23.20).  Hover swam the butterfly leg in the 200 medley relay and the anchor leg of the 200 freestyle relay.

He was the anchor on the Eagles' second-place 400 (3:05.62) and 800 (6:51.24) freestyle relays.
