Roth recorded three interceptions and nine tackles (all unassisted) with 1.0 tackle for loss, 1.0 quarterback sack and one pass break-up in UWL's 33-27 double overtime victory over 14th-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University September 14. His three interceptions tied a single-game school record, becoming the eighth player in UWL history to accomplish the feat. Roth is the first player to have three interceptions since Steve Teeples versus South Dakota State University September 2, 2006. 

Roth's first interception resulted in a 48-yard field goal to give UWL a 17-7 halftime lead. He sacked Illinois Wesleyan's Brandon Bauer on the Titans' first play in the first overtime and recorded his third interception of the game on the next play to force the second overtime.
