Baker earns win by fall
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse wrestling team, ranked fifth in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), earned a 39-6 victory over UW-Stevens Point Friday night in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles improve to 9-0 overall and 5-0 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), while the Pointers drop to 2-11 overall and 1-4 in the conference.
UWL earns its first undefeated dual season in school history and first undefeated WIAC season since 2011-12.
UWL now the leads the all-time series, 40-26, with UW-Stevens Point. The Eagles have won the last 15 meetings.
