Zuerlein Invitational ResultsMenomonie, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team captured the 13th Annual John Zuerlein Invitational at UW-Stout Friday night in Johnson Fieldhouse. The Eagles finished with a team score of 186.400 while UW-Stout placed second at 181.350 and Hamline University (Minn.) finished third with 178.500.
UW-L scored 45.825 on the vault, 47.100 on the uneven parallel bars, 45.850 on the balance beam and 47.625 on the floor exercise.
The Eagles'
Amy Enright won the all-around title (37.425) Friday night while teammate
Samantha Wiekamp placed third (36.225). Enright also won the uneven parallel bars (9.725) while tying for third on the vault (9.175) and finishing fifth on the uneven parallel bars (9.725).
Wiekamp captured the vault title (9.375) while placing third on the uneven parallel bars (9.500) and tying for fourth on the balance beam (9.150).
UW-L's
Elsa Spitzmueller took the floor exercise (9.675) crown.
Other top individual finishes Friday included
Lauren Wilson placing second on the uneven parallel bars (9.650) and tied for third on the vault (9.175)
Kerry Scafidi was second on the balance beam (9.375) and
Kelsi Vomacka second on the floor exercise (9.650).
Kendall Westrich was third on the balance beam (9.300) and eighth on the floor exercise (9.350).
Rachel Riesterer finished fifth on the uneven parallel bars (9.425) and tied for seventh on the balance beam (9.050) while
Savana Kettner was seventh on the vault (9.075) and Carley Kiesow seventh on the floor exercise (9.400).
UW-L returns to action Friday, Februray 13 at Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) at 6:30 p.m.
