UW-La Crosse 185.200, UW-Oshkosh 177.825
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics squad earned a 185.200 to 177.825 dual victory over UW-Oshkosh Friday night in Mitchell Hall in the Eagles' regular-season home finale. The Eagles set a season-high score of 47.875 on the floor exercise. UW-L's overall score of 185.200 is its second-highest score of the season. The team had a season-high 187.250 at the Harley-Davidson Collegiate Meet February 15.
UW-L scored 46.125 on the vault; 46.000 on the uneven parallel bars and 45.200 on the balance beam Friday night.
The Eagles'
Christa Booman won the all-around (37.600) and uneven parallel bars (9.525) Friday. She was also second on the balance beam (9.400), fourth on the floor exercise (9.525) and sixth on the vault (9.150).
Katie Palluck won the floor exercise (9.700) as UW-L took the top-six places.
Jessica Herrmann finished second (9.600);
Sheree Romesburg third (9.550); Booman fourth (9.525);
Carly Kiesow fifth (9.500) and
Tegan Oare sixth (9.475).
Oare was also fifth on the vault (9.325) and tied for fifth on the balance beam (9.000).
UW-L's
Taylor Cochran finished fourth on the uneven parallel bars (9.200) and balance beam (9.025).
Other top finishes Friday included
Emily Dinse third (9.375) and
Nicole Mickelson fourth (9.350) on the vault while
Jen Andersen finished third (9.150) on the balance beam.
The Eagles'
Morgan Shene was third (9.375) and
Rachel Riesterer fifth (9.050) on the uneven parallel bars.
UW-L returns to action Saturday, March 2 at Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) at 2 p.m.
