La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics squad earned a 182.700 to 178.450 dual victory over Winona State University (Minn.) Friday night in Mitchell Hall in the Eagles' regular-season home finale. UW-L's
Morgan Shene won the all-around (36.175) and uneven parallel bars (9.325) while
Jenna Swails captured the vault (9.400) and floor exercise (9.550). The Eagles'
Rachel Budelier won the balance beam (9.425).
Shene was also sixth on the vault (9.100), seventh on the floor exercise (8.900) and eighth on the balance beam (8.850) while Swails finished eighth on the uneven parallel bars (8.900).
UW-L's
Tegan Oare was second on the vault (9.275) Friday night while
Kristen Buschke was second on the uneven parallel bars (9.250) and
Kelsi Vomacka tied for second on the floor exercise (9.400). Vomacka was also seventh on the vault (9.025).
The Eagles'
Jen Andersen placed third on the balance beam (9.125) and tied for sixth on the uneven parallel bars (9.000).
Jessica Herrmann was fourth on the beam (9.100) while
Kjirsten Jacobson was fourth on the floor exercise (9.350).
Rachel Riesterer finished fifth on the uneven parallel bars (9.050) while
Kahlynn Hunt was sixth on the balance beam (9.025) and ninth on the vault (8.925).
Taylor Cochran was seventh on the balance beam (8.950) while
Katrina Schuch finished eighth (8.625) and
Jamie Shervey 10th (8.525) on the floor exercise.
UW-L returns to action Saturday, March 3 at the WIAC/NCGA West Regional Championships at UW-Eau Claire.
