La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse softball and baseball games scheduled for Friday, May 7 have been postponed due to the threat of inclement weather.
The Eagles' softball team is scheduled to play in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Tournament Saturday-Sunday, May 8-9 at UW-Oshkosh. UW-L, 32-6 overall, won its first league title in school history last week and finished 16-0 in the WIAC.
The top-seeded Eagles face sixth-seeded UW-River Falls Saturday, May 8 at 10 a.m. at Oshkosh North High School. UW-L is currently ranked 20th in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III Poll.
UW-L's baseball team was scheduled to host UW-Oshkosh Friday-Saturday at North Campus Field in the final regular-season games of the season for both teams. The teams will play doubleheaders Saturday-Sunday, May 8-9 starting at noon each day.
Three UW-L seniors will be honored between games Saturday.
The Eagles are 16-20 overall and 8-12 in the WIAC.
