Milwaukee (Thomas More) has been selected the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
He averaged 22.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in two UW-La Crosse victories during the week. He finished with 13 points, including the game-winning jumper with :00.5 remaining, in the Eagles' 73-71 victory at UW-River Falls Feb. 17.
Mane then finished with 32 points in UW-La Crosse's 88-76 triumph over fifth-ranked UW-Stevens Point Feb. 20. It was the Eagles' first win over the Pointers since Jan. 30, 2002 and snapped an 18-game losing streak in the series.
Mane had 21 points in the first half as UW-La Crosse clinched the third seed for the WIAC Tournament.
UW-L returns to action Tuesday, Feb. 23 hosting UW-Superior in the WIAC Tournament First Round at 8:05 p.m.
