Frank Records Triple-Double in Win at UW-Oshkosh

recorded a triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks as the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team earned a 68-51 win at UW-Oshkosh Wednesday night in Kolf Sports Center. The Eagles improve to 16-7 overall and 8-6 in the WIAC while the Titans fall to 7-16 overall and 2-12 in the conference.

UW-L trailed 2-0, but tied it after a Lindsey Litrenta jumper. The Eagles then took a 5-2 lead with 16:55 left after a Melissa Lang three-point field goal. UW-L led 7-4 when it went on a 13-0 run to lead 20-4 with 11:43 remaining in the first half.

The Eagles led by as many as 27 points in the first half before taking a 40-16 lead at halftime.

UW-Oshkosh could get no closer than the final margin of 17 as UW-L led by as many as 30 points.

Lang led UW-L with 15 points while Stacie Van Handel finished with 12 points off the bench. Lang was six-of-eight from the field, including three-of-four from three-point range. Van Handel finished four-of-six from the field, including one-of-two from three-point range, and three-of-four at the free throw line.

Frank was five-of-eight from the field in scoring 10 points. Along with the 10 rebounds and 10 blocks, she finished with two steals. The 10 blocks is third in single-season school history.

UW-L shot 53.1% from the field, including 61.5% (16-of-26) in the first half. The team shot 57.1% (eight-of-14) from three-point range in the contest and 53.3% (eight-of-15) at the free throw line.

Katie Kitzke led UW-Oshkosh with 16 points off the bench. The Titans shot 34.0% from the field, including 33.3% (five-of-15) from three-point range, and 66.7% (10-of-15) at the line.

UW-L returns to action Wednesday, Feb. 17 hosting UW-River Falls at 7:05 p.m.
