UW-L Athlete: 1971-1975

    Coleman participated in wrestling and football as a student from 1971 to 1975. He was conference wrestling champion and placed seventh in an NAIA tournament. Co-captain of the football team, Coleman gained WSUC and Letterman's Club honors. He earned a master's degree in physical education at the University of South Dakota before returning to UW-L to teach and coach wrestling and freshman football for one year. He also taught art at La Crosse Logan Middle School.
