Athlete: 1949-1951 and 1956-1957

    A legendary runner, Tom Curry thrilled football fans with his sensational broken field running. Elusive and very quick, he still holds two all-time rushing records at La Crosse. Curry played halfback for the 1950 conference champs, was a forward on the 1950-51 basketball championship teams and helped guide the 1950 baseball team to their third straight conference title, playing shortstop. After a break for military service, he returned to captain the 1957 basketball team.
