Sheri Miller ran to national top finishes in cross country, along with All-American titles in both cross country and track from 1983-86. The 1987 community health education major earned All-American honors by finishing fourth among harriers as a senior, an improvement from her sixth place finish at nationals a year earlier. She also earned All-American honors in track her senior year, taking second in the 10,000-meter and sixth in the 5,000-meter outdoor runs, as well as fifth in indoor competition as a junior. Captain of the cross country team her senior year, she earned letters in both sports the last three years of competition
